Learn embodied parts work, and discover how to embrace and befriend ALL parts of your client.

This training teaches you how to bring parts of the client out of shadow and into the therapy room where they can be seen and known. In this way, both therapist and client can come to have a new relationship with these parts, and to understand their motivations, thoughts and feelings.

You will also learn how to support the client in building an ongoing supportive connection with these parts of themselves so that these parts can begin to take their place in the client’s life in a positive way.

This is embodied work which taps into thoughts and feelings held deep within the client’s psyche. It is powerful work and yet it is also extremely adaptable and suitable for a wide range of different clients. The tools we teach ensure that the client is making conscious choices about what they want to explore at all points in the process, thus allowing them to use the work in a way that is right and safe for them.

This training is highly experiential. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice these techniques as a practitioner and also to experience them as a client, so that you come to understand how they work from a personal perspective.

This training was a fantastic opportunity to dive deeply into the workings of Healing The Shadow, and also to take part in a piece of my own healing. The robustness and clarity of the framework, combined with facilitators who have done (and continue to do!) the work themselves, created a space that was very safe, and allowed for an incredible depth of exploration – both when practicing facilitating and also when exploring my own inner world.

As someone who has received a number of  one to one Healing The Shadow sessions, doing this course allowed me to look further behind the scenes at the process, whilst experientially learning at the same time. All the while the safety net of experienced facilitators allowed me to feel held whilst practicing.

It has deepened my appreciation of the work and also my appreciation of how less is often more – the power of holding a space where all parts are welcome and nothing is rejected cannot be underestimated, and this course is an opportunity to both practice and receive that holding, and in my humble opinion it can’t help but positively influence and deepen the other therapeutic work I do.” John S.

The groups are small, with no more than six participants and three trainers, this allows for a high level of personalised attention and guidance for each participant.
